Going to Swaziland

Wednesday night, heading out for dinner with some friends from my small group. It's a little odd thinking of what the next 18 some odd days are going to have in hold for me. I did some more packing, organizing and second guessing making sure i have everything i need for my departure on friday. Nerves are kicking in a little bit, but the excitment of whats ahead is way too cool for anything else to matter.
I feel beyond privledged to not only be going to swaziland, but also to help work with Childrens Cup to reach people and teach about Jesus' amazing love. Before I get into swaziland i spend a few nights in Washington DC with my brother and sister in law which will be a great to see them and also a helpful transition away from work and into whats ahead of me.
Quick prayer requests: Saftey in travels and while in swaziland, Love- for a completely new understanding and fulfillment of love for others. That I can fall right in line with whats going on at Childrens cup and help in whatever ways i can. And lastly for my family that they would be comforted while I am gone, and excited about what i am doing.

Stephen--you have our total support in all that you're looking to do in Swaziland. You're a great young man with a huge heart for the Lord. I'm confident you will be able to relate his message and work with the Children's Cup leaders and poeple they are helping. Love-Dad

I thought of other things. The doctor says I've made great progress on my cholesterol issues--and no colon cancer showed either in recent tests. By the way--we do miss you around the house. Do you know I had to clean up the back yard leaves with out you & the Christmas lights still need hanging! Only kidding...we're doing fine here. Elly says hi too. You're very fortunate to have this experience that will last forever. Dad
